RALEIGH, N.C. – Bobbitt Design Build has announced a strategic restructuring of its top leadership to continue long-term success and explore new areas for growth. In March, Bobbitt began the implementation of the new leadership structure.

Jim Bell has been promoted to president of Bobbitt Design Build, Inc., based in Raleigh, while Jerry Fink has been promoted to managing director of Bobbitt A&E, PLLC.

Don Comer will remain as CEO of The Bobbitt Group, Inc., a position he has held since 2003, and Meredith Keyes will continue as CFO. Vic Englert remains as the president for Bobbitt Design Build, LLC, in Columbia, S.C.

Bobbitt will continue its long-running Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

According to Comer, “Our leadership team will direct and oversee all of Bobbitt’s strategic, operational, and financial activities to support the development of our long-term growth strategy.”

In his new role, Bell will be responsible for setting strategic direction, marketing strategy and implementation, managing the operations of the design build teams, and overall success of Bobbitt Design Build, Inc. Fink will oversee operations of Bobbitt A&E, PLLC. A&E will design many of the structures put in place by Bobbitt Design Build, Inc and Bobbitt Design Build, LLC throughout the region.

Bell joined Bobbitt in 2002. He is a certified Green Advantage® instructor and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional through the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Bell graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a BE in Civil Engineering. He served in the United States Army from 1997 to 2001, and also worked for Orion International, a leading military recruiting firm.

Fink joined Bobbitt in 1991. He is an AIArchitect and a LEED AP BD+C (Building Design + Construction). Fink graduated from North Carolina State University College of Design in 1990 with a BEDA and in 1991 with a BARC in Architecture.
