ESTIMATOR
Job Description:
Bobbitt Design Build, Inc. is seeking an Estimator for immediate full time employment with our Estimating Department located in Raleigh, NC. The position will require computer skills and conceptual estimating.
Position Requirements:
- 2 year degree in Construction Technology and 7+ years experience in construction industry
OR
- 4 year degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years experience in construction industry
- Commercial construction field experience is a benefit, but is not required
Responsibilities Include:
- Interpret drawings and documents in order to prepare estimates
- Prepare transmittals and plans for distribution to subcontractors and suppliers for bids
- Meet with subcontractors to assist them in preparing quotes
- Evaluate sub quotes for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare in-house estimating documents
- Compile proposal for the project developer to present to the customer
- Assist in preparing standard contract documents and specifications
