SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Job Description:
Bobbitt Design Build, Inc., is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for immediate
full-time employment in our office located in Raleigh, NC. The individual will be responsible
for daily accounting functions that are vital to the successful completion of Bobbitt’s commercial construction business, including month end close, financial statement reporting, variance analysis, reconciliations, and high-level financial analysis. This position reports directly to the CFO.
Position Requirements:
- BS in Accounting with 4 or more years of experience
- Experience in commercial general contracting
- Experience with Sage Timberline software is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong time management skills
- Proactive, dedicated and self motivated
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform monthly close responsibilities including monthly bank statement reconciliation,
WIP statement reconciliation, journal entries, individual company and consolidated financial statements, schedules for the board report, balance sheet account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Maintain the company’s fixed assets.
- Create annual revenue and expense budgets by department for Bobbitt Design Build, Inc., Bobbitt Design Build, LLC and The Bobbitt Group, Inc.
- Assist CFO with annual board projections, annual repurchase liability study, preparation of the bi-annual commission statements, quarterly board meetings, project post job reviews, and management and analysis of the company’s Captive Insurance Program
- Preparation of all information requests for annual audits, tax return preparation, annual valuation, ESOP trust accounting, and the company’s Captive Insurance Program.
- Maintain current and archived files within Sage Timberline and assist with software upgrades
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
