Teaches Green Advantage Class At Wilson Community

RALEIGH, N.C. – Jim Bell, project developer for Bobbitt Design
Build, was the instructor for a Green Advantage® sustainable building
class at Wilson Community College on Dec. 6.
Bell is a Green Advantage instructor and a LEED (Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional through
the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). He is chairman of the
Triangle Chapter of USGBC. As a project developer with Bobbitt
Design Build, Bell has overseen numerous commercial construction
projects including schools, medical offices, restaurants and industrial
buildings.
Green Advantage is a green building educational and certification
system for building contractors and trades people. The organization
promotes sustainable building practices, including green building
sites, water conservation, energy efficiency, conservation of
materials and indoor environmental quality.
Green Advantage classes are designed to prepare commercial contractors
and subcontractors for the Green Advantage Certification Exam.
The program utilizes real world, practical information to teach
students the core concepts and construction principles behind
sustainable building practices.
