Grace Christian School
An integrated design build approach led to timely success for
Grace Christian School. In September 2003, with a limited window
to complete construction in time for the 2004 school year, our
experience fostering express permitting helped facilitate the
tight timeline.
The results enabled Bobbitt to deliver
Grace Christian’s 53,400 sq. ft. school in an 11-month timeframe
– in the process returning a 2 percent savings to the owners
by utilizing a cost-plus contract.
The new facility
drastically increased much-needed lab space for classrooms.
Other design features include a creative approach to parking
and traffic flow. Building materials and brickwork complement
the surrounding community. And flexible design enabled church
services to be held in the school gym during construction of
its new church.
