In our line
of work, we get to meet a lot of personalities. Working on the
original Home Center, a retail office and showroom for flooring
and lighting, we got to know one of our favorites in Johnny
Deal.
Originally, his facility was to be built on a
site that, after we examined, ultimately had buffer and wetlands
issues. Undeterred, we helped him find a site across the street
and facilitated the contract process. We also helped him navigate
the arduous site planning, zoning and approval stages – and
in the process made a good friend. All this before we even got
to building. As a result, the current facility located in the
Pinnacle Office Park in Apex stands as a true showcase for the
Home Center brand.
Three years later Johnny brought
us back to build Home Center II, a 30,000 sq. ft. storage facility
across the street from the original. Considerably more attractive
than typical home furnishings warehouses, Home Center II serves
as an upscale staging area for products going out to homes –
one that can accommodate future expansion as his team grows.
