Elkins Mitsubishi
With
its high-profile location behind the Durham Bulls Athletic Park,
Elkins Mitsubishi's growth forced the dealership to operate
from a trailer located on site until they called upon Bobbitt
on referral from another local auto dealership. The challenge
at hand was a very tight site and the need to keep three businesses
– Elkins Mitsubishi, Elkins Chrysler-Plymouth, and the body
shop – open and operating smoothly while construction of a new
showroom was taking place.
The design build process
was an ideal solution for Elkins, with site meetings the norm
throughout the city approval process. Our design team had fun
creating a new state-of-the-art facility to complement the existing
building and its unique architecture from the 1960s. Throughout
the entire process, the existing dealerships, body shop, and
service departments remained open and accessible to the public.
Best of all, since completion of its new 15,000 sq. ft. facility,
Elkins Mitsubishi has reported traffic and sales have both doubled.
