Gregory Poole – Mebane Operations
Bobbitt Design Build completed a new sales and service center
in Mebane, N.C., for
Gregory Poole Equipment Company, a long- standing Caterpillar
dealer for eastern North Carolina.
The 51,800-square-foot
facility will be used for sales and service of construction
equipment, service of trucks and Caterpillar parts sales. The
business serves customers in the Mebane/Burlington area and
travelers on I-85/I-40. The building is located on 14 acres
at
400 Gregory Poole Lane in Mebane, just off Trollingwood
Hawfields Road (exit 152).
The facility features four,
five-ton bridge cranes; attractive canopies; a parts storage
mezzanine in the warehouse; and a disaster recovery room. Bobbitt
provided appropriate exterior pavements and building floors
for the heavy equipment and handled site design and access with
the challenge of concurrent new subdivision construction.
Bobbitt Design Build has been very successful with previous
work for Gregory Poole, including a diesel engine truck service
facility on Integrity Drive in Garner and an equipment rental
office on New Hope Road in Raleigh.
In business since
1951, Gregory Poole provides power generation systems, marine
power, forestry equipment, lift systems, construction equipment
and truck service.
