South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association

The South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (SCADA) is the trade association for new car and truck dealers in South Carolina. Bobbitt was selected for this design-build project through a referral to build their new space, which involved a big move to Hampton Street after being located downtown for approximately 25 years.

The 13,000-square-foot facility is a three-story, estate-style building with wrap-around porches overlooking the city of Columbia. The elegant theme includes black iron hand railing, hard tile on the outside porches, an all brick exterior, specialty finishes and high-end mill work.

The interior features high vaulted ceilings, an elevator, a full kitchen and impressive conference rooms. Bobbitt overcame the challenge of getting approval from the city’s design development review committee for this prominent building located in the “Gateway into Columbia.”
