COLUMBIA, S.C. – Bobbitt Design Build was recently contracted to expand and renovate the XPEDX facility located at 2826 Shop Road in Columbia. Bobbitt will add 40,000 square feet to the existing 80,000-square-foot warehouse and also provide interior renovations to the 10,000-sqaure-foot office.

The warehouse expansion provides an additional eight covered dock bays for use in inclement weather, 50 percent increase in warehouse/distribution area, additional truck parking, tractor trailer turn around area and trailer storage.

Jeremy Wilson, of Grubb & Ellis Wilson Kibler, selected Bobbitt because of its strong track record with similar projects and long-term relationship. Bobbitt is partnering with Architrave, Inc. for the building design. Gary Haley will represent the interests of XPEDX, the tenant, in his position as regional operations manager.

Construction begins in June with an anticipated completion in November.
