An Outside Architect’s Observations on Design-Build

Josh Boltinhouse once worked on projects as an outside architect. Now, as a principal architect for Bobbitt A&E, he understands the multiple benefits of bringing in the general contractor early on. With the architect and contractor working together from the beginning, they are able to integrate the conceptual design with the logistical challenges of the construction process.

Being able to experience projects as both an “outside” and “in-house” architect has given him valuable insight when it comes to what works best.
