Mount Mourne Fire Department is located in the southern end of Iredell County on Mecklenburg Highway in Mooresville, N.C. Bobbitt provided fire station truck bays, a new office and site work.

Mount Mourne V.F.D. protects about 6,000 people living in an area of 25 square miles. It operates out of one 14,479-square-foot station that protects a primarily residential area. The department is private with members on a combination of paid and volunteer status and provides both basic medical responder and fire protection services.
