Bobbitt Design Build was selected for the 5,000-square-foot renovation and addition of Walnut Street Church of Christ, located in Cary.

After going through the conventional design and bid process twice with an architectural firm and not getting a price within budget, church leaders decided to pursue the design build process and contacted Bobbitt. The Bobbitt team presented a video on past projects, and within days, Bobbitt produced a fresh design and a proposal that met the desired budget.

The sanctuary was expanded into the current foyer, creating additional seating for 70, and a new cry room and sound booth. The refurbished sanctuary includes upgraded lighting and climate control. The spacious foyer has larger bathrooms and reduces congestion, allowing more space to gather and fellowship. Other new features include an arched glass entry back lit by a chandelier, a new architectural green roof and additional parking.
