After more than 18 years in our Columbia office, Bobbitt’s management team decided we had finally outgrown our space. A larger office was needed to fulfill the architectural design and construction needs of business and industry in the Midlands region.

Bobbitt chose an office flex space at 1927 Thurmond Mall Blvd, Suite #102, near downtown Columbia because of its central location, providing easy access for both our clients and subcontractors. We wanted to create a contemporary work environment well suited for collaboration among employees – an extremely important factor for a design-build firm with architects and contractors working closely together. With multiple conference rooms, co-working areas and brainstorming spaces complete with glass walls that function as whiteboards, the new office provides a climate of cooperation among employees and an inviting space to meet with customers.

“The new location is a modern, well-designed space that showcases several different methods of commercial construction and finish products,” said Ben Wilson, Bobbitt’s South Carolina Division President. “We incorporated unique steel beams into the interior design of the front lobby, a homage to our steel building roots.”
