Bobbitt transformed a former bank branch site into a 11,100-square-foot animal clinic, now known as Thomasville Veterinary Hospital, located at 724 National Highway in Thomasville, N.C.
This clinic features two tower entries with stone accents and stained wood timber that frames the main entrance, waiting room and separate boarding entrance.
Challenged to tackle many owner requirements, Bobbitt designed the space to reduce and control odor, improve sanitation and decrease noise, while adding separate boarding and hospital entrances. Also in the site design phase, Bobbitt was able to effectively use the acreage to meet storm water regulations and avoid costly site alterations.
Owner, Dr. Karl Milliren, was referred to Bobbitt by one of the practice’s equipment suppliers, who was pleased with Bobbitt’s design-build process and performance:
“Throughout the site and building design process, Bobbitt’s expertise in working with veterinary practices was quite evident,” said Milliren. “Their design-build process and turn-key approach made our lives easier so we could concentrate on running our hospital. Having someone who understood our needs was very helpful.”
